Bird photography tours in Louisiana offer a unique opportunity to capture stunning images of the state's diverse bird species in their natural habitats. Our tour focuses on nesting wading birds in Southwestern Louisiana. This region is known for its abundance of wading birds, and the tour is carefully scheduled to coincide with the birds' nesting season.
During the tour, participants will have unparalleled access to these beautiful birds by visiting several bird rookeries. Some of these rookeries can be reached by boat, providing a unique perspective and allowing for up-close encounters with the nesting birds. Others are conveniently located near the road, making them easily accessible for photography enthusiasts.
In addition to the wading birds, the tour includes photographing nesting Osprey in a natural setting. These magnificent birds build their nests atop Cypress trees in the Atchafalaya Basin, creating a picturesque scene for photographers to capture.
The tour costs $1599 and includes a morning brown bag meal. It is based out of the Holiday Inn Express in Breaux Bridge / Henderson, Louisiana. Please note that lodging is not included in the tour package. To secure a spot on the tour, a $200 deposit is required, with the remaining $1399 due upon check-in.
