Infrared Vertical Panoramic Image–Lake Martin
I've shot this scene at Lake Martin many times and I've never been happy with the results. First I could never fit enough of the scene vertically with a standard sized image. Then the colors of the muddy water, sky and brown foilage never quite worked. This time around I used a Tilt/Shift lens to create a vertical pano to get both the foreground and background in the shot. Then I shot it with my IR camera body using the false color from the 665nm converstion to make this pleasing color sceme. Shooting with the IR camera I was able to avoid the distracting shadows I always got in the scene when shooting with my non IR cameras. I also tried a black and white version, but in this case I like the color better. By far my favorite shot of this location.
