2023 Spring Bird PHotography Tours

Spring comes early in Louisiana, and the trees are beginning to have leaves. Great Egrets have arrived at Cazan Lake, and the photo season has started. I've timed my tours to coincide with the peak of the nesting season and before the weather is too hot and humid.

There is still room in my Spring Bird Photography Tours. Two locations are wading bird rookeries with nesting Egrets, herons, and Roseate Spoonbills. Another site has many Osprey nests, and we photograph the birds as they come to and from the nest from a boat. I've been leading bird photography tours in Southern Louisiana for 20 years and know the best spots for nesting wading birds. Below are examples of shots taken on tours over the past several years. 2023 Fall Cypress Scene Tours

Fall in the Lousiana Swamps provides unique photo opportunities. Frequently we have rust colored Cypress Tress in the water with backlit mist or fog. Unfortunately, only a few locations with old-growth Cypress remain, and we visit several, and we time the visit to coincide with the most likely peak color and potential for fog or mist. I've included images from the past several years below. Click here for more information and to sign-up.
