I had my usual friendly group of photographers for my May Photo Tour. Except for the onshore trip at Lake Martin, where we found little to photograph and a less-than-stellar sunset, we had some excellent photo opportunities. Cazn Lake had nesting Great Egrets with Chicks and nesting Roseate Spoonbills. Miller's Lake had the usual large concentration of nesting wading birds, with the Least Bittern being the highlight of the excursion. I also brought my IR camera to Miller's Lake and captured lovely images of the Tupelo trees in the water. Lake Martin by boat was stellar, with a sizeable cooperative alligator, egrets, and herons, as well as Pileated Woodpeckers.
I've scheduled next year's tours, and per a customer request, I've added an optional two additional days.
Space is still available for the fall tours. I've been doing the fall Cypress Fours for over 15 years. Unlike many Tours led by other leaders that use Kayaks, my Tours are done from an outboard-powered boat, allowing us to cover more area and reducing the risk to photographers and equipment.
Scheduled Tours can be viewed here.
On another note, I also provide consulting for Nikon Equipment, post-processing using Lightroom and Photoshop, and Apple computers for photo editing and printing. Contal me here to make arrangements.
