2026 Louisiana Wading Bird Photography Tours

Now Accepting Reservations

Join me for three small-group photography tours timed to coincide with the changing stages of Louisiana’s nesting season. Each tour offers unique opportunities to photograph breeding birds and wetland wildlife from carefully selected locations and boat-based platforms.

Group size is limited to just five photographers, and early reservations are recommended.

Which Tour Is Right For You?

Every spring is a little different, but each tour is scheduled to capture a distinct stage of the nesting season. Whether your interest is courtship displays, active nests, or growing chicks, there is no wrong choice—only a different story to photograph.

Courtship & Nest Building

The season is just beginning as birds establish territories, form pairs, and build nests. This tour often provides excellent opportunities to photograph breeding plumage and courtship behavior.

Peak Nesting Activity

By mid-May, the rookeries are typically filled with activity as many species tend nests and exchange incubation duties. The variety of subjects and behaviors makes this one of the most dynamic times of the season.
